Arrives in 1–3 weeks

One flat-packed pallet, about 2,000 lbs, every board pre-cut to size.

Curbside delivery

The carrier will arrange a delivery window with you. The pallet is too large for a liftgate, so for standard delivery, plan to have two people available to unload it by hand. It usually takes about an hour. Driver-assisted unloading and expedited delivery are available for an additional fee.

Step 4

Build it — 2 days

Check the pallet against the packing list in the first 30 days — anything damaged or missing ships free. Boards interlock tongue-and-groove; no framing skills needed. Manual, blueprint and video library included.

A beautiful design. Well worth the time and money spent

“Built up the shed on a packed gravel pad with a 6” circulation space. Insulated both beneath the floor and above the roof. Added a 7 ft. x 10 ft. wood deck in front of the shed which increased the utility of the shed. The site preparation, decking, the insulation, painting and roofing cost more than the shed. The precut wood parts fit like magic with plenty of extra parts which were used to augment the sidings. The assembly was quick and easy. The parts were easy to recognize from the drawings and the part ID labels. The style was modern and attractive. . Improvements are needed on the supplied hardware parts. The screws were weak and some of the locking hardware were not fitting well. Overall the whole project turned out just as planned and the results were quite satisfactory.”

Great product my wife loves her new studio.

“Great product my wife loves her new studio. Once the foundation is complete, the building can be constructed in a day by two people. The only exception would be the roof which can take longer. I chose composition shingles, which was probably a mistake since they trans mid heat to the interior of the building unless you insulate before, you nail on the shingles. If I would do it over again, I would probably use a steel roof with an air gap between the roof and the ceiling panels. Overall, the building experience was positive. The helpline was always available and knowledgeable. The delivery was on time, and the materials were perfect. The only suggestion I would make would be to have the option of an extra course of wall boards to make the ceiling a little bit higher for tall people and give more clearance for ceiling fans. I found the installation of the door, the trickiest part of the process. All in all the process was pleasurable and successful.”

At 117 sq ft, Bristhol may not require a building permit in some locations, but requirements vary. Check with your local building department before you build. Every kit includes a blueprint you can provide if requested.
A level, well-drained base sized 12′1″ × 10′1¼″, flat within ¼″. A compacted gravel pad, deck blocks or a lumber frame all work; a concrete slab is the premium route but is not required. A simple DIY base usually takes an afternoon and costs around $250–$700 in materials. The foundation calculator gives you the shopping list and cut list.
The 3:12 pitch takes shingles, metal or PVC — match the house. Budget $320–1,280 for 176 sq ft of roof area. Roof boards themselves are included in the kit. Between 2:12 and 4:12 lay shingles over two layers of felt or an ice-and-water shield. See our roofing guide.
Plan on about 2 days with basic tools — hammer, drill, level, ladder. The wall boards interlock tongue-and-groove, so no framing skills are needed. Manual, blueprint and video library are included, and our support line answers mid-build questions. A local handyman or an assembler would be one to hire.
Yes. The roof can be insulated above the tongue-and-groove boards, under the roofing layer, and the floor between the joists. The solid-wood walls are designed to expand and contract naturally, so they shouldn't be insulated like conventional framed walls. Depending on your climate, add a heater or mini-split for year-round use.
Yes. Power and lighting can be added using surface-mounted conduit, keeping the solid-wood walls intact and the wiring accessible. Plan the electrical route before the build, and use a licensed electrician for the installation. Electrical permit requirements vary by location, so check with your local building department.

Yes, within the factory-verified layouts. Wall panels can be assembled flipped and the left and right walls mirrored, so the included windows and door can sit at either end of their wall — you choose during assembly, at no cost. The layouts marked with a window add the paid double window (one or two, as marked); you cut those openings yourself with our instructions. The included windows never move to the back wall, and the factory does not open the pallet or swap boards — every layout uses the same kit.
